Objectives

1. To provide participants with a general knowledge of laws relating to the onshore & offshore oil & gas industries as well as legal issues relating to the design, construction, commissioning and operation of onshore & offshore oil & gas industries.

 

2. To enable participants to acquire and apply their knowledge of contract, negligence, environmental, occupational safety & health and cross-border laws to their practice or their work in the onshore & offshore oil & gas industries or related fields

 

3. To enable participants to understand, acquire and appreciate their duties, responsibilities and liabilities as managers, consultants, engineers, professionals and executives in the oil & gas or related industries and apply their knowledge of relevant aspects of laws in discharging their duties & responsibilities as well as managing and alleviating possible liabilities.

Lee Kwok Weng, B.Eng. (Mech.)(S'pore), M.Sc.(Ind.Eng)(NUS), DipBA(NUS),
Grad. Dip Mktg.(MIS), LLB(Hons)(Bucks), LLM(Lond), Barrister-at-Law, Advocate & Solicitor, 
Supreme Court of Singapore, Accredited Arbitrator & Mediator, MMIS, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Singapore, 
Hon. Legal Advisor, IES & SISO, is currently in private practice.
 
Mr. Lee is a very experienced lecturer and trainer and a much sought after speaker. He conducts teaching & 
training for various corporations, organizations and tertiary institutions as well as provide in-house courses for 
many businesses. Mr. Lee has been for many years an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business 
Administration, National University of Singapore, teaching in the MBA programme and has also been lecturing 
part-time at the Nanyang Technological University.
 
Mr. Lee brings with him considerable engineering, industrial project and facilities management experience, having 
worked for many years as a project manager in McDermott Inc, a leading multi-national engineering and 
construction corporation serving the marine, oil and gas industries onshore and offshore.
